The successful completion of this 2025 impact monitoring round represents the continued dedication and collaborative effort of individuals and teams across ForAfrika. Their commitment to systematic measurement, rigorous data collection, and evidence-based programming has enabled this second annual assessment of our progress towards household self-sufficiency.

A group of 25 farmers, 20 women and 5 men, is proving that when communities are connected to the right opportunities, they achieve lasting change.
Karat Primary Hospital in Ethiopia’s Konso Zone, which serves nearly one million patients each year, is in urgent need of additional facilities and equipment. Although the hospital requires 120 beds, it currently has only 84 and its average bed occupancy is 65 per cent.
The Business Development & Capital Partnerships Manager is responsible for both supporting the origination of capital partnerships and operationalising the business development function within ForAfrika Social Enterprise.

The Country Director will be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight to all aspects of ForAfrika’s operations, including revenue growth, programme delivery, emergency response, financial management, and monitoring and evaluation.

A quiet transformation is underway at the heart of Doha Kebele, a village shaped by resilient women, and informal trade. Five groups of 100 members each, totalling to 500 women, are a part of the Doha Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA), that has provided the pathway to shift their livelihoods from informal survival strategies to engaging productively in the local market economy.

Access to clean water has become a major turning point for rural Jaresso, where community members once spent hours walking long distances each day just to collect the water they needed to survive. ForAfrika in partnership with Konso Development Association (KDA), through a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project, is now providing safe water to more than 2,000 households.
In Uganda’s West Nile, a group of determined young people are transforming hardship into opportunity. Led by Peter Oyoku and Amayo Job, the Self-Driven Poultry Group is building a thriving poultry business—creating jobs, feeding families, and proving that poverty can be overcome.
In the quiet rural community of Issombo, in the Municipality of Bocoio, Angola, 12-year-old Laurinda Muhombo is enrolled in the third grade at Issombo Primary School and is a beneficiary of the school feeding programme supported by ForAfrika. Despite her young age, Laurinda has long had to navigate the tension between survival and her right to simply be a child.
