Four decades in Africa have shaped who we are and what we can do. From complex emergencies to long-term economic opportunity, we bring together the experience, relationships and operational strength to make lasting progress possible.

Born in crisis.
Built for complexity.

ForAfrika was born during civil war and famine in Mozambique more than 40 years ago. Since then, we have worked through conflict, displacement and some of Africa’s most challenging operating environments. We have learned to adapt, find a way through and keep delivering when conditions are at their hardest.

Africa is home.

We are African-founded and African-led. Our knowledge comes from being here: from our people, our communities and decades of relationships with governments, local organisations, UN agencies and partners.

We know how to make things happen.

When roads fail, supply chains break or access becomes difficult, the work still has to happen. We know how to navigate complex environments, mobilise resources and reach the last mile. Our country platforms, local networks, supply chains and partnerships help us find a way through.

We stay for what comes next

The emergency is rarely the end of the story. Neither is our work. We bring together what each context requires, from immediate response and essential services to stronger livelihoods, productive capacity, finance, markets and economic opportunity.
