Heavy rainfall in Rwanda caused floods which led to landslides. According to the government of Rwanda, at least 127 people were killed and many have lost their homes and livelihoods. Two main roads are impassable due to flooding and landslides. The country has declared a State of Emergency.
According to the United Nations, rescue interventions by authorities are ongoing across the worst-hit locations.

We responded immediately providing blankets to 690 people and logistical support to the Emergency Command Centre in the Ngororero district.
