Empower 20 million Africans to sustainably provide for themselves by 2032.

On the Frontline:
Honouring our Humanitarian Heroes

This World Humanitarian Day, we pause to honour the extraordinary women and men who make ForAfrika’s mission possible. Each day, these heroes are at the frontline driven by the desire to serve Africa’s most vulnerable communities—often in the most difficult and dangerous conditions. Their courage, compassion, and commitment are the backbone of our work, and today, we celebrate them.

The scale of need in sub-Saharan Africa is staggering. Nearly 900 million people lack access to basic services, and 464 million live in extreme poverty. The region faces overlapping crises—from food insecurity and malnutrition to displacement and limited access to clean water and healthcare. These challenges demand urgent, sustained, and integrated responses.

In 2024, ForAfrika reached over 2,118,416 people across eight countries with life-saving humanitarian support. We provided emergency food to 1,175,865 people, treated 397,667 children and pregnant women for malnutrition, and trained over 59,000 caregivers in health and nutrition. We supported 70,008 mothers and children with essential healthcare, distributed over 2.8 million kilograms of food, and served more than 3.5 million school meals during emergencies. We also delivered over $1.1 million in cash support to help families meet urgent needs. These numbers only scratch the surface of our impact, each one represents a powerful story of survival, strength, and transformation. They represent lives changed, futures protected, and hope restored.

To every ForAfrika hero; we see you, we thank you, and we honour your commitment to building an Africa that thrives.
